      I remember, as a kid, so many years ago, having Gottenbug sausage sandwiches on white bread with butter. I remember a smaller diameter sausage, with a much stronger taste(more of a bite to it). Is it my memory that has faded. This is a great sausage, but my memory is better

      I was born and raised in Illinois but recently moved to Arizona. I have memories of always having gottenburg sausage on hand to eat. The first thing on my list of things to do after moving was to order my gottenburg sausage again from Silver Creek Specialty Meats. DON’T EVER STOP SELLING THIS SAUSAGE!!! I CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT!!!

      When I was in school in Chicago, Busch thuringer sausage was in my school lunch. Go glad this sausage is so close to the original.

      I grew up on this sausage. Born in Chicago but moved to Peoria in 1957. Had many relatives back in Chitown and would visit often. Would always visit the deli on Clark Street to have some while we visited and a few to bring home. Moved to Florida in 1966 but our Chicago relatives would always send us some for Christmas. Deli closed its doors and went online. relatives moved or passed away. For a few years, I bought from the delis website. Very high prices. Found out that what the deli is selling is the same thing you can buy direct except the deli has it packaged with its name on it. Have been buying this sausage at Christmas for many years directly from Silver Creek. As good as I remember from 50 years ago. I give it to my grown kids, sisters and brothers, nephews and nieces. They all tell me it just wouldn't be Christmas without it. Got another generation hooked!

      Gottenburg sausage has been a family favorite for many years. After our favorite Swedish deli closed I was so happy to have found that Silver Creek Specialty Meats had it available. Fabulous product!
