Sausage Covered Cheese Ball

Posted by Karla Powell on 15th Dec 2020

Great appetizer for any time of the year.  Quick and easy to make, so I hope you enjoy it soon.

Yields approximately 16 servings

Ingredients

8 oz Cream Cheese Softened

1/2 tsp Pub House Garlic (1)

3 Green Onion Stalks Diced

1 cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded

8 oz Silver Creek Venison summer sausage, thinly sliced (2)*

Instructions

  1. Make sure your cream cheese is softened so you can stir it. If needed, soften it in the microwave.
  2. Mix in garlic salt, onions and cheddar cheese until combined.
  3. Place in the fridge and let cool until the cream cheese gets hard.
  4. Spread the slices of sausage on a piece of saran wrap. Place the hardened cheese on top.
  5. Roll the cream cheese into the shape of a ball and roll it into the sausage to cover the ball.
  6. Serve immediately or place in the fridge for an hour until ready to eat.
  7. Serve with your favorite crackers

* I used our venison summer sausage for this recipe, however, any of our 8 oz sized chubs will work. Available in elk, buffalo, and all beef.
